Richard Walch

Richard joined Walch Consulting after 20+ years leading the largest metropolitan bar association in the United States, the Los Angeles County Bar Association, where he served as Executive Director and General Counsel.

Under his direction, the 27,000 member association dedicated itself to advancing the administration of justice, increasing access to justice for the underrepresented and encouraging lawyers to serve their communities by providing pro bono services. The Association sponsored and operated numerous public service projects, annually providing free and low cost legal, mediation and other services to more than 625,000 people.

As a former head of a leading nonprofit organization, Richard brings to Walch Consulting years of hands-on experience with a comprehensive range of management, financial, tax and legal issues that impact nonprofit organizations, including creating innovative revenue streams, leadership development, strategic planning, as well as building strategic relationships with business, community and governmental organizations.

Among his many civic and professional achievements, Richard served as President of the Los Angeles City Ethics Commission. He received his Juris Doctor Degree from the University of Southern California Law School and is a graduate of the University of California at Berkeley.
